Boise State University’s Visual Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of Ball of Wax, the spring 2015 BFA exhibition. Please join us for the opening reception Friday, April 10th from 6-8 p.m. for an opportunity to explore the artwork, and speak to the artists who created it.
Ball of Wax features a diverse body of work from 19 graduating visual art majors. The work includes multiple media, such as video, sculpture, painting, and photography. Themes and subjects vary widely, covering both the formal and the conceptual, and dealing with fascinating and difficult topics like identity, space, and the perception of memory.
The exhibition will take place in the Visual Arts Center’s Gallery One and Gallery Two, located in the Hemingway Center room 110 and the Liberal Arts Building room 170, respectively. Free parking is available for the reception in the lot between the Liberal Arts Building and Student Union Building.
The show will continue through April 30th, and is available for viewing during regular gallery hours, which run Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
